The Law Office of Donna J. Smiedt is limited to the practice of Family Law. Ms. Smiedt has been board certified in the area of Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for over 15 years. Ms. Smiedt has been practicing law for over 21 years in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and concentrates her practice primarily in Tarrant and Dallas counties, but also accepts selected cases in contiguous counties such as Parker, Collin, Johnson, Wise and Ellis. Aggressive representation of clients in complex areas of family law litigation including divorce, paternity, custody modification, grandparents' rights, child support and private adoption cases is the focus of Ms. Smiedt's practice. In appreciation for her outstanding service to the community, Donna J. Smiedt has been selected as Arlington's Family Law Attorney of the Year from 1997-2002 and was named by her peers as a Texas SuperLawyer in 2004 and 2006.
Donna J. Smiedt is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association, Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists (TAFLS), is licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Texas in all state courts, is licensed to practice in the United States Federal Court in the Northern District of Texas and is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
